Esgidiau Meirw (llun gan Dave Hopewell GAT)

Mae mwy a mwy o wybodaeth yn dod i'r fei ynglyn a'r Domen Sgidia ger Ffridd y Bwlch. Dyma lun drwy garedigrwydd Dave Hopewell o Ymddiriedolaeth Archaeolegol Gwynedd o'r "garreg fedd" gymharol ddiweddar. Mae yna gwestiwn ar hyn o bryd lle yn union mae'r garreg hon ?

Mae Dr Dafydd Roberts o'r Amgueddfa Lechi hefyd wedi bod yn cysylltu a staff Sain Ffagan am gyngor pellach ar y sgidia a Steffan ab Owain wedi bod yn rhoi cyngor i mi ynglyn ac unrhyw ddogfennau cysylltiedig a'r domen.

Ond mae yna gwestiynau hefyd :
Pam cludo'r sgidiau i'r Cei Llechi ym Mhorthmadog
Ychydig o longau oedd yn dod mewn i'r porthladd erbyn yr Ail Ryfel Byd.
Sut cludwyd y sgidia i fyny i Blaenau - ar y tren bach ?
Pam eu llosgi ar ben y Bwlch ?
Yn ol tystiolaeth Dave Hopewell mae yna hen domen llechi o dan y domen sgidia - felly roedd hyn yn sylfaen sych efallai ar gyfer y llosgi ?
Rydym dal angen tystiolaeth pendant fod yr esgidiau yn rhai Americanaidd - dyna fydd y cam nesa gyda Sain Ffagan.
